Index of all liverworts names published until 1974 with nomenclature data. Published in printed form 1962-1990. Data digitized and hosted by Geneva Botanical Garden.

Online database with nomenclature data on all liverwort and hornwort names hosted by Missouri Botanical Garden

Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL)
Valuable resource for publications, especially earlier literature.

Taxonomic Literature II (TL-2)
Digital and searcheable version of the 15 volume guide to the literature of systematic botany published between 1753 and 1940 hosted by Smitsonian Libraries and Archives. Useful in deciding priority of when a name is effectively published. Provide a standardized abbreviation for citation of publication.

Botanico Periodicum Huntiarum (BPH)
Digitized, updated and searcheable version of the volumes printed in 1968 journals publishing botanical data. Provides a standard abbreviation of most important botanical literature.

International Plant Name Index (IPNI)
Keeps an updated list of standard abbreviations of authors of plant names hosted by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
